The Casual Fan
Laid-back: the big games, without the stress.
You love football, but you don't make it a matter of life and death. No superstitious rituals, no sleepless nights after a defeat, no crumpled scarf at the back of a drawer: your relationship with the game is simple, healthy and completely relaxed.
You mainly watch what's worth it — the big clashes, the finals, the World Cup nights — comfortably settled on your sofa, with something to snack on and, ideally, a few friends. You follow the results from a distance, you can spot the great players, but you couldn't name the line-up of the league's third-placed team, and you don't miss that for a second.
Your real strength is balance. Where others let themselves be devoured, you take the best of football without suffering its torments. A good match, a good evening, and life goes on. That distance actually makes you very easy to be around: you're the laid-back viewer who puts everyone at ease, never turning a game into a drama.
Your little weak spot, inevitably, is depth: your knowledge stays on the surface and you quickly forget the details. A true die-hard might almost take you for a tourist. But deep down, you've found a balance many people envy: football is part of your life for the pleasure it brings — it doesn't run it.
