When using 1001personalities, we only collect data necessary for the service to function.

• Session data: a temporary identifier is created to save your progress in a test. Detailed data, including the IP address, is deleted automatically after 13 months.
• Account data (if you create an account): email address, username, and encrypted password.
• Email subscription data: email address, language, test and resulting profile, consent choices, source, and confirmation dates. This is only collected if you complete the form on a result page.
• Technical data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, for analytics and security purposes.

We only use cookies strictly necessary for the site to function (session, language preference). No advertising or third-party tracking cookies are set.

Your data is used exclusively to run the service, improve the site through anonymized statistics, and ensure security. If you request it, we use your email address to send you a link to your result. If you ask to be notified when the full report is released, we use your address only to announce its release and launch price; this request is kept until that announcement, and for no more than three years. If you separately tick the dedicated box, we may also send you emails from 1001personalities (new tests, tips and news). This marketing is based on your consent, collected through an unchecked box. Every request is confirmed by email (double opt-in). We do not sell or rent your personal data.

The publisher of 1001personalities is the data controller. To deliver emails and manage contacts who have consented to them, we use Brevo SAS as a data processor. Brevo processes the email address and only the data necessary to personalize communications (language, test, profile, and interest in the full report).

Detailed session data is retained for 13 months, then deleted. Before deletion, we retain monthly aggregated statistics that cannot identify a person (month, test, language, number of tests started and completed) to measure how the service evolves. Account data is retained as long as your account is active, then deleted within 30 days of account deletion. Data used for the newsletter is retained for three years from collection or your last contact with us.

Under GDPR, you have the right of access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection. You can withdraw your consent or unsubscribe at any time through the link included in every marketing email. To exercise your other rights:
